12月20日，北京师范大学外国语言文学学院MTI中心主任，博士生导师王广州在外语学院第一报告厅做了题为“这些年，我们谈翻译谈什么”的讲座。我院部分教师、全体研究生和部分本科生共约90人参加了本次讲座。

在讲座中，王广州老师从自身丰富的翻译实践经验出发，用生动鲜活的实例带我们走进翻译，以风趣幽默的表述与我院师生共享翻译心得。王老师首先从翻译研究角度“谈翻译”，指出要从语言服务的角度研究翻译，将翻译研究置于语言服务产业语境，面向市场，紧随社会需求；面向服务对象，增强服务意识。谈及人工智能与人工翻译时，王老师提到“译事之温情”，认为人工智能在翻译过程中还有很大的提升空间，而人工翻译是有温度的，它能够充分体现人与人之间的情感交流。王老师还强调了在选择翻译项目时应注意的问题，并建议同学们在生活学习中多积累常识。

通过本次讲座，我院师生加深了对翻译本质的理解，明确了提高翻译素养的有效途径。同时，该讲座对我院翻译方向培养方案的修订以及翻译教学改革大有启发。（作者：陈欢）

CFL Held a Lecture on Translation Practice

On December 20th, Wang Guangzhou, director of MTI Center and doctoral supervisor of the School of Foreign Languages and Literature Beijing Normal University, delivered a lecture on "What We Have Been Talking about in Terms of Translation over the Years" in No.1 Lecture Hall of College of Foreign Languages. More than 90 people attended the lecture, including some teachers, all postgraduates and some undergraduates in our college.

In the lecture, Mr. Wang Guangzhou took us into the translation world with vivid examples based on his own rich practical experience, and shared his translation experience with the audience with humorous expressions. Firstly, from the perspective of translation studies, Mr. Wang pointed out that translation studies should base on language service and put it in the context of language service industry; translation studies should follow a market-oriented approach and in light of the needs of society; translation studies should be oriented to service objects and raise services awareness. When talking about artificial intelligence and manual translation, Mr. Wang mentioned "the warmth in translation". He believed that manual translation has “temperature”, which can fully reflect the emotional communication between people, while artificial intelligence still has a lot of room for improvement in the translation process. Mr. Wang also stressed the problems that should be paid attention to when choosing translation projects, and suggested that students accumulate more common sense in their life and study.

This lecture has helped teachers and students in our college better understand the essence of translation and defined effective ways to improve translation ability. In addition, the lecture is of great inspiration to the revision of the translation training program and the reform of translation teaching in our college.(Translated by Chen Huan, MTI 2020)
